Crystal Service Award

The Greenway Plaza Crystal Service Award is given for consistent excellence in job performance, creative or innovative approaches or ideas that lead to higher standards of customer service or extraordinary results in other areas as measured by standards applying to employees in the immediate peer group. Recipients of the Crystal Service Award automatically become candidates for Greenway Plaza's Employee of the Year Award.

Dennis Cruse, Energy Services Manager

Dennis is a multi-talented employee. His negotiating skills have saved Crescent millions of dollars in energy costs & he has developed many beneficial relationships for Greenway Plaza with industry related organizations. He currently heads up the LEED certification process for the property & his work with USGBC has brought about recognition for Greenway Plaza in several publications. He organized the E-Recycling Event in May collecting 26.5 tons of equipment & took the lead on our TOBY Earth Award entry. To quote Donna: He is a great team player & is always willing to help out when and where needed. His performance is always to the highest of standards. You can't find a more dedicated, knowledgeable, team-oriented individual. Greenway is fortunate to have him on our team.

Jerry is extremely knowledgeable in the area of construction & does a superb job on tenant build-out projects. He did a tremendous job on the Los Andes Restaurant demolition between 8 & 12 Greenway & its repurposing as our new Conference Center which was a very challenging project. Steve describes Jerry as a tireless, dedicated employee who works well with vendors, customers & team members. He has an extremely positive attitude and is a true asset to the GWP team.

Aaron transitioned from engineering to construction and over the past 12 months has successfully completed over 350,000 sf of tenant improvement projects generating in excess of $200,000 in construction management fees. Kirk says of Aaron: Aaron shows initiative & takes charge of his assignments. He is a team player and a go-getter, seeking nothing but the best outcome in each of his projects and exhibits a great attitude all of the time.

Krys Givens, Administrative Assistant - Phase II

Krys is thorough in her work & is consistently thinking of ways to improve on new procedures and projects. Krys created an electronic form for updating tenant information which has provided a more effective & efficient system of keeping the information current. When the new form was introduced many tenants complimented the change for its ease of use. Krys also provided assistance to Phase I in Donna Ross' absence by taking over some of her duties. Donna says of Krys: She has an unlimited amount of energy and always brings a lot to the table. She is an amazing team player, has an abundant amount of job knowledge and her performance is always top notch.

Greg has championed several new/improved initiatives at GWP including CERT training, improved weather monitoring/communications, HPD SWAT training, a presentation by the City's Health Dept. for H1N1 Flu, TEEX course, and on-line fire warden training to name a few. Steve said: In addition to these tangible examples of Excellent performance & helpful customer service, Greg has demonstrated great teamwork in connection with the various Greenway offices/departments.
